I'm a Big Girl Now!

At 27 months old Avery has decided she does not wear diapers anymore (with the exception of overnight). About a week and half ago, Avery made the declaration she was a big girl. At the most I think we have had up to 6 accidents in one day, but she is getting much better with her timing. The highlight of potty training for Avery was being able to pick out her own underwear and realizing that some of her favorite characters even have tank top and pantie sets in her size.
It was a very cold but Happy Easter in Savannah this year.

Grandma Tibby sent Avery pink cowgirl boots and she's showing them off here. Jarrett got some black cowboy boots from Pompa Lou and Grandma Lisa - I just can't find a picture him wearing them.

Jarrett has shown us that he is very artistic when it comes to painting. This is one of the finger paints he made for Mother's Day. Jarrett and Avery also painted picture frames with watercolors. Jarrett loved using his paintbrush Avery wasn't too sure getting paint on herself. I'm thinking an easel might make a good birthday present.

On our way home from Fayetteville, the kids started fighting over a bag of Kix cereal. Jarrett was refusing to share with Avery. I gave Avery a bag of Trix cereal and Jarrett decided that he didn't want to eat his cereal anymore - he wanted Avery's. Avery got tired of watching Jarrett screaming, so she decided to eat her cereal under her blanket.

Jarrett is exploring the contents of his Easter basket here. The little doodlers were a hit until the kids misplaced them. Jarrett was been trying to draw shapes and letters on his doodler and on paper. He will definitely be ready for Pre-K in the fall!

No Kids Tonight!

In March, the Aviation Brigade that Daniel is apart of held their Spring Ball. It was a nice evening away from the kids, even though we came home kind of early. Of course it helped that Daniel did not "abandon" me like the other husbands at our table did to their wives. I am 5 months pregnant in these pictures. I did learn one lesson from this ball. Do not buy a formal dress two months in advance when pregant. That's what I did in January and two weeks before this ball it was very obvious the dress did not fit. I loved the color of the dress in these pictures and the fit considering it was a prom dress from Sears! This was the second military ball Daniel & I have gone to.

It Looks Like A Boy!

I know I am really far behind on keeping this page up to date. Especially since the ultrasound was done February 20th. We went for our ultrasound at 19 weeks to find out the baby's sex. Jarrett and Avery were able to go with us and see what their baby brother looked like at that time in Momma's belly. Jarrett is thrilled that we are having a boy. He is quite content with one sister and really did not want another one. Avery is kind of in denial about a new baby in the house but she's only 2.
